What’s new in Akihabara?

I shopped for stationery the whole morning at Yodobashi Akiba. They had a whole section devoted to mechanical pencils. I bought four, ranging from 0.3 to 0.9 millimeter in lead thickness. I’m especially happy that I found the Uni pen with Mitsubishi’s new technique Kuru Toga. You know how you always have to turn the pencil when it has worn down on one side? Mitsubishi has solved that problem with a mechanical engine that twists the pencil lead 6 degrees counter clockwise every time you write, which results in uniform thickness. I didn’t find anything of the kind at MacPaper and Papiertiger back home …
