Today I joined the editor to Musashino Art University, where he teaches graphic design history once a week. The campus is located in Kodaira in western Tokyo, a 15 minute bus ride from Kokubunji station. (The buses drive very slowly in Japan, and before they make a turn, the driver says in his microphone: “I’m turning.” This is apparently because there are many older people who go by bus. Which in turn is because buses are free for older people.)

As you can see, the buildings are an orgy in concrete brutalism. And apparently the students organise their own little shota and loli event next weekend.

While the editor was teaching, I went to the university’s museum and saw an exhibition about German comics. It was very interesting, so I might write more about it in another post.
