Week 11: 11-17 March 2019

March 17, 2019 by Leave a Comment

I presented in Theory & History Unit 10 on Friday, so I prepared for that during the week and met my co-presenters M and K at an “anticafé” in Wedding on Tuesday.

Spent Saturday night and the whole Sunday working on my machinima for Digital Anthropology. It’s starting to fill up, I should have a rough cut by the end of next week. I think it’s coming together well, after a few panics and crises, as should be.

The basic structure has been settled for a while now, especially the quotes by my informants. The challenge has been to find a way to illustrate that, and that’s what I’ve been experimenting with over the last weeks. Apart from screenrecordings, I’m using macro lenses and trying to go beyond the pixels in a way (the magnification is so great that you can see the red, green and blue part of each pixel on my MBP retina screen).

Black Mirror and Disenchanted on Netflix. And the first episode of Desperate Housewives S1, as well as the last of Frasier S10.
