Week 14: 1-7 April 2019

April 7, 2019 by Leave a Comment

Semester 2 began with a full week of in-house classes. Multivocality & Montage on Monday and Tuesday was the highlight, two truly interesting and inspiring days with a great lecturer. I skipped “Health in Africa” on Thursday but frankly wish I had skipped the rest of the week altogether.

It was great to see all my classmates again. Connected much more with them now than last time.

Not crazy about the project we’re doing for Qualitative Methods, but was happy to connect it to Michael Fisch’s ethnography on the Tokyo train commuter network. Anything that includes the Gap makes me tick. Tomorrow we will present and then (or why not now) I’ll have to do some serious readings for Tuesday.

I actually look forward to getting back to the readings for my essay in Theory & History.

Got a severe cold in the weekend but I hope I will be through the worst by tomorrow.
